Here are some helpful resources on the issue of being single.

Single Edition - A website that encourages and gives advice to those who are single.

Quirkyalone - "Quirkyalones" are people who resist the "tyranny of coupledom" because they would prefer to be open to the possibilities that life has to offer than be in an unsatisfying relationship; or dating just for the sake of dating.

The Single Life: How To Make It Work For You With or Without a Relationship - By Dr. Michael S. Broder.  With this program, you'll learn numerous strategies for enjoying and becoming nurtured by the freedom and unlimited opportunities that can be a part of being single.  This was a great resource for me, and I highly recommend it.

Single: The Art of Being Satisfied, Fulfilled and Independent - Paperback book by Judy Ford.  (Link goes to amazon.com listing.)  The author states that "singleness is not a condition to be cured."  In this book, Ford uses her own story and the stories of others to show that it is possible to be single and content.

Singled Out: How Singles are Stereotyped, Stigmatized, and Ignored, and Still Live Happily Ever After - Hardcover book by Bella DePaulo (Link goes to amazon.com listing.)  The author debunks the myths of singleness and explains how one can live as a happy, fulfilled single individual despite all the negativity society associates with singleness.
